Instagram & TikTok

Throughout the pandemic, the exponential surge of social media platforms, such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other streaming platforms, has significantly transformed how people consume entertainment. With ample free time and extensive research, I made a list of promising creators who I believed had a margin of imporovement. Whether it was lower follower counts but high engagement or content that could be refined towards a targeted audience. After months of reaching out, I organized meetups with several Asian American content creators in the esports industry. By listening to their concerns and ideas for growth, I initiated conversations about effective management benefits and maintaining a healthier lifestyle while building their personal brand that would live past their current platforms.

After conducting weeks of research on esports, I devised models aimed at boosting their engagement, such as leveraging tags, creating adaptable content, and actively engaging with their existing communities. Through several months of media collaboration, I increased their follower counts by twentyfold across multiple social platforms, while also enhancing their viewership and achieving Twitch Partners. Presently, I manage 김나성 (naseongkim), a twitch partner with over 135k+ subscribers in Asia and continues to stream and collaborate with South Korean partners.

Through word of mouth, I was introduced to several content creators in the Los Angeles and Orange County area who sought to utilize my management and marketing expertise to expand their brand. I diligently researched various sectors, including education, restaurant touring, and more. I proactively emphasized the importance of community building and fostering responsible, accountable content. By prioritizing trends through comprehensive research and collaborating on content calendars, I also prioritize a healthy work-life balance.

By initially being audience-centric, we developed a better understanding of each demographic and employed data-driven strategies to shape marketing campaigns and metrics, which became invaluable in securing future brand deals and partnerships. This approach led to a 30-fold increase in social media engagement on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, strengthening our position when establishing ongoing partnerships.

Investing in Twitch Streamers

With the evident rise of Esports and social media, I proactively reached out undervalued talent. With my experience supporting and managing social media influencers, I decided to try and grow outside social brands. When deciding which talent to partner with, I provided equipment and guidance to several streamers on the platform Twitch, helping them grow their following and manage their brand. In order to follow a dedicated program, we would focus on clipping short-form content and share on multichannel platforms such as Facebook live and Twitch.

My first steps were to assist them reach the Twitch Affiliate Program and eventually the Partner Program. I composed a schedule for their content that factored in a busy work and school schedule. I also helped set up and secured collaborations deals with a variety of brands including Yerba Matte. As a result of my efforts, two of the dozen streamers I worked with were able to reach the Twitch Partner level with an average of 2.5k views per stream.

Affiliate Marketing

During my time managing and working with a variety of creative individuals, I found that Affiliate Marketing was an ideal tool to engage with our communities and earn compensation for access. Many of the amazon brands that I had previously worked with were more than happy to generate discount codes that worked for their store and I would share the links and codes from Amazon and other smaller sites that allowed community users to share and purchase discounted items.
